Hair extensions can instantly add volume and length to your look. To keep your extensions beautiful and healthy for a long time, it is important to look after them properly. Here are some basic care tips to help you get the most out of your hair extensions:
Do not use products containing silicone, oil, fruit acid or alcohol. Never wash your hair upside down. Only wash hair at the roots, as the ends are usually not greasy and can otherwise dry out. Only use hair conditioner on the lengths and ends and keep sufficient distance from the join.
Always blow-dry hair, never comb when wet. Do not blow-dry too hot or upside down. Always blow dry the hair at the joints. Never rub your hair extensions dry - it is better to gently squeeze them out.
Regularly apply a high-quality hair oil to the lower ends and use a hair treatment once a week. Only comb with extension brushes. Only wash hair at the roots, as the ends are usually not greasy and can otherwise dry out. Only use hair treatment on the lengths and ends and keep sufficient distance from the connection point.
Use shampoo and styling products WITHOUT silicones and oils. Do not go to bed with wet hair. Do not style above 180* C.
Avoid silver shampoo.
The extensions absorb it more strongly and faster than your own hair.
Tip: Test on one strand first.
Mix the silver shampoo with your extension shampoo.
No salt or chlorinated water. Tie your hair up to protect it and, if necessary, apply a protective conditioner to the ends. Be careful with sun cream and self-tanning lotion, as these can discolor the hair.
